I. Acceptance of This Agreement

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of Katti, including its mobile application, features, content, virtual currency systems, and related services. By accessing, installing, or using Katti, or by tapping a button indicating acceptance of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, you agree to be bound by this agreement. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.

You acknowledge that Katti may require you to affirmatively accept these terms before proceeding past the login screen. Your continued use of the service after updates, feature changes, or notice of revised terms also constitutes acceptance of the then-current agreement.

II. Service Availability

Katti is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device, operating system version, or network condition. Temporary outages, maintenance windows, delays, loading issues, and feature failures may occur.

We reserve the right, at any time and without liability, to modify, restrict, suspend, discontinue, or remove any part of the service, including but not limited to login access, local record tools, search, analytics, feedback tools, WebView agreements, coin store functions, or in-app purchase support.

III. Description of the Service

Katti is a lightweight personal knitting record app designed primarily for local use on a user's device. The app is intended for knitting and yarn hobbyists who want to organize yarn inventory, save gauge notes, track project row counts, and keep progress logs in one place for later review.

The service currently includes a login flow that requires acceptance of legal agreements before continuing, a home workspace, a local search dialog, yarn card creation and editing tools, yarn detail pages, gauge note creation and editing, project log management, analytics based on locally saved records, settings, a coin store, feedback tools, and agreement pages displayed through a web view.

The yarn card feature allows users to create and maintain yarn records using photos, names, brands, color codes, dye lots, materials, yarn weight, grams, length, recommended needle size, quantity, storage location, notes, and speech-to-text note entry. New yarn cards require a coin balance check and, when saved for the first time, consume 60 coins. Viewing, editing, deleting, and copying previously saved yarn cards do not trigger another coin deduction.

The yarn detail function may display a primary yarn photo, reference tags derived from entered fields, additional details, notes, and a summary copy feature. Users may also start a related gauge note from a yarn card where supported by the app flow.

The gauge note feature allows users to record swatch photos, project names, pattern names, needle sizes, swatch width and height, stitch counts, row counts, manual values per 10 cm, and notes. Where enough manual measurements are entered, the app may calculate stitches per 10 cm and rows per 10 cm using user-provided numbers. If measurable inputs are not provided, users may manually enter reference values. Katti does not promise automated swatch recognition, automatic gauge measurement, professional calibration, or guaranteed knitting accuracy.

The project log feature provides a row counter and progress tracking system for knitting projects. Users may create or edit project names, pattern names, notes, row counts, and recent progress entries by text or speech-to-text. The app may provide quick row adjustments such as minus one, plus one, plus ten, and manual row setting. Users may mark projects as completed or in progress, copy project summaries, and delete records. Completion dates may be used to build local analytics.

The home and search features are designed as a working dashboard rather than a marketing landing page. They may display coin balances, yarn card counts, quick-entry shortcuts, recent yarn cards, recent gauge notes, recent projects, and searchable local records. Search functions may match against titles, summaries, color-related fields, dye lot fields, location fields, needle size fields, notes, and similar locally stored metadata.

The analytics feature is generated from locally saved yarn cards and project logs on the device. It may show yarn counts, project counts, in-progress and completed project totals, completion trends over recent months, project status distributions, and material tag rankings. If there is no underlying data, the analytics area may show an empty state instead of any inferred conclusions.

The settings area may display coin balances and provide access to the coin store, legal pages, feedback, sign-out, clearing of local records, and account deletion. Clearing local records is intended to remove locally stored yarn cards, gauge notes, and project logs while preserving account access and coin balances where applicable. Deleting an account is intended to remove account access, local records, and coin-related data stored for that account in the app environment.

Katti may request access to device features only when triggered by the user, such as the camera for taking photos, the photo library for selecting photos, the microphone for voice input, and speech recognition for converting speech into text. At the MVP stage, voice tools are intended to capture recognized text rather than archive original audio recordings.

Katti includes a consumable virtual coin system. By default, a new user may receive an initial balance sufficient for one yarn card save flow. Coin packages may be offered through Apple in-app purchases, and successful purchases increase the coin balance used inside the app. Coin package product identifiers, quantities, and prices may vary over time and may include both standard and promotional offerings. Purchase availability depends on platform support, storefront configuration, and successful processing by the applicable app marketplace.

IV. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to misuse Katti. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: violating any law or regulation; attempting unauthorized access to the app, systems, or accounts; interfering with app operation; using bots, scripts, scrapers, automation, or abusive traffic; bypassing coin requirements or purchase flows; reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive source code except where applicable law expressly permits; introducing malware, harmful code, or security exploits; and using the app in a way that harms us, other users, platform operators, or third parties.

You must not upload, enter, or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, obscene, invasive of privacy, or otherwise harmful. You also may not use the service for commercial resale, unauthorized distribution, competitive analysis through improper means, or any purpose outside the limited use granted in these terms.

V. Intellectual Property

Katti, including its app design, branding, interface elements, software, code, compilations, graphics, text created by us, service structure, and all related intellectual property rights, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Except for the limited license expressly granted below, no right, title, or interest in or to Katti is granted to you. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or exploit any part of the app except as permitted by law or by our prior written consent.

VI. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of the information you provide in Katti, including yarn details, gauge measurements, project notes, text entered through speech recognition, photos, and feedback. You are also responsible for reviewing recognized text before saving or relying on it.

You must maintain the security of your device and any access credentials used with the app. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your use of the service, including accidental deletion, inaccurate entries, reliance on mistaken calculations, or use by another person on your device.

VII. Generated Results Disclaimer

Some outputs in Katti are generated automatically from user inputs, including calculated gauge values, summaries, labels, copied text, search results, and analytics. These outputs are provided for general informational and organizational purposes only. They are not professional knitting advice, technical certification, textile testing, or guaranteed measurement results.

Because generated results depend on data entered by users, device behavior, and software processing, they may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular project. Any reliance on generated or calculated results is at your own risk. You should independently verify all measurements, counts, and conclusions before using them in any project or purchase decision.

VIII. Permitted Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use Katti on a compatible device for your own personal, non-commercial use. This license is granted solely for the intended functions of maintaining knitting-related local records and using the app's supported tools.

This license may be revoked at any time if you violate these Terms, applicable platform rules, or applicable law.

IX. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates, licensors, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, records, photos, project history, virtual currency, device functionality, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of, inability to use, or reliance on Katti.

This limitation applies whether a claim is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us through the app during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

X. In-App Purchases / Virtual Currency

Katti may offer consumable virtual coins through Apple in-app purchases. Coins are used within the app's feature system, including the current rule that saving a new yarn card consumes 60 coins. Coins are virtual items only. They are not bank accounts, stored-value instruments, personal property, or rights in any real-world asset.

All purchases are processed by the applicable platform provider, and your use of in-app purchase functionality is also subject to that provider's terms and policies. Coin balances may be refreshed based on successful purchase confirmation and local app records. Failed, canceled, reversed, or rejected purchases do not entitle you to coins or related app benefits.

Except where required by applicable law or mandated by the platform provider, coin purchases are non-refundable, non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash value. Coins cannot be redeemed for money, goods, or services outside the app, and they are not a substitute for legal tender. We may change available packages, prices, product IDs, purchase limits, or usage rules at any time.

XI. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you provide to Katti, including your photos, notes, measurement entries, project logs, and feedback submissions. We do not claim ownership of your original user content merely because you store or enter it in the app.

However, by using Katti, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, process, and transmit your content only as reasonably necessary to operate the app, provide requested features, display records on your device, process speech-to-text interactions, support local analytics, troubleshoot issues, and comply with law. This license ends when the content is deleted from the service, except to the extent retention is required for technical, legal, or security purposes.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to provide the content you submit and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party rights.

XII. Disclaimer of Warranties

Katti is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, availability, security, or freedom from defects.

We do not warrant that the app will meet your requirements, preserve all local data without loss, correctly interpret speech, calculate gauge perfectly, remain compatible with future devices, or operate without delays, interruptions, or errors.

XIII. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates, licensors, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, demands, actions, damages, judgments, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to: your use of Katti; your user content; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any law or regulation; or your infringement or misappropriation of any third-party right.

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with that defense.

XIV. Eligibility Requirements

Katti is intended only for individuals who are at least 17 years old and who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

If you are using the app on behalf of another person or entity, you further represent that you have authority to bind that person or entity to these Terms.

XV. Termination of Access

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Katti, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or potential legal exposure, engaged in misuse, interfered with the service, or if we decide to discontinue the service or a feature.

You may stop using Katti at any time. You may also use available settings to sign out, clear local records, or delete your account where those options are supported. Termination does not affect provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law.

XVI. Changes to the Agreement

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated terms may be posted within the app, through a web view, or otherwise made available to users. The effective date shown above or in a later version may be updated when changes are made.

Your continued use of Katti after revised terms become available constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the service.

XVII. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to Katti or your use of the service will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the relevant jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles, except to the extent such principles are required by law. Any legal rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws remain unaffected.
